How to use WellCom
-- Getting Started -----
Plug in your WellCom device. On your phone, open Wi-Fi settings and connect to the WellCom setup network. Your phone will open the setup page automatically. If it doesn’t, go to http://192.168.4.1.
Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your phone number and your trusted contact(s).
-- Daily Use -----
Each day, press Well or Ill for one second. WellCom sends a short email to your trusted contact letting them know how you’re doing. That’s it.
-- If a message wasn’t delivered -----
Text messages depend on mobile networks. Occasionally, messages may be delayed or not delivered due to carrier or signal issues. If you think something didn’t go through, you can simply press the button again.
-- Restart the device (if the red light is on constantly or the device stops working) -----
First press the green button for 1/2 second, then press the red button for 1/2 second.
If the problem is not resolved - Press the button on the backside, for 2 seconds to restart the device.
-- Change recipient email(s) -----
Press the button on the backside, for 5 to 9 seconds.
On your phone, open Wi-Fi settings and connect to the WellCom setup network. Your phone will open the setup page automatically. If it doesn’t, go to http://192.168.4.1.
Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your email address and those of your trusted contact(s).
-- Update to the latest version of the software -----
Press the button on the backside, for over 10 seconds.
Wait a minute or two.
On your phone, open Wi-Fi settings and connect to the WellCom setup network. Your phone will open the setup page automatically. If it doesn’t, go to http://192.168.4.1.
Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your phone number and your trusted contact. All phone numbers must have previously opted in on the login web page.
-- Power drop or power surge -----
A fluctuation in your household power supply may cause your WellCom device to automatically re-cycle.
You will receive a message indicating your device has restarted.
This is nothing to be alarmed about.
